Join us on Wednesday, June 22 at Arcadis and CallisonRTKL‘s office in Washington, D.C. for our next Work Design TALK! Top designers will address topics like how design can influence the level of choice in a workplace, which furniture solutions allow for more choice by flexing to an employee’s needs, and why designing for choice will increase clients’ well-being and satisfaction at work. We’ll also look at the best ways to advise clients, whether through change management strategy or other tools, about adjusting to and utilizing a new space that supports a variety of places and ways to get work done.
The discussion will be moderated by our special guest, Cheryl Durst, the executive vice president and CEO of IIDA, the International Interior Design Association.
Meet the panelists
Arnold Levin, Principal, Workplace Strategies, SmithGroupJJR
Arnold has over 45 years of experience in workplace strategy, design, and research that results in business-driven solutions. As a principal on the workplace strategies team at Smith Group JJR, Arnold is responsible for developing firm-wide design strategy initiatives that provide innovative workplace solutions across market sectors. A strong believer that design strategy can result in workplace solutions that boost business performance, he has developed frameworks and methodologies that connect workplace design solutions to a client’s intrinsic organizational design.
Marie Moutsos, Design Director, FOX Architects
As a design director at FOX Architects, Marie brings her award winning experience to the entire design process. Working closely with her clients, Marie builds a partnership with them to design unique work environments. In addition to balancing the design and management of a diverse range of projects, she serves as the client’s day-to-day contact and coordinates project teams. Through her design leadership and through the execution of the work, she fosters a reputation for excellence with clients, within the industry, and within the profession.
Steve Polo, Managing Partner, OPX
Steve is the managing partner at OPX, a design consultancy in Washington, D.C., whose mission is to help good companies work better. A recognized thought-leader, facilitator, speaker, panelist and educator, he has pioneered a new way of looking at organizations, operations, culture, and performance. Steve has infused the practice of design with his visionary thinking on improving business performance through the integration of people, tools, and place with business operations and strategy, providing a new value proposition in the market.
Stefana Scinta, Senior Workplace Strategist, CallisonRTKL
With a focus on the impact of the built environment on human behavior, Stefana applies her education in interior design and environmental psychology to workplace strategy and change management projects that help plan and design space that best supports the population or organization it serves. She helps clients make well-informed decisions by detailing needs, validating utilization, and developing detailed programs, phasing plans, and implementation strategies. She supports the design and execution of programs that enable workplaces to better support their business goals, financial agendas, culture, and growth.
