Katie Sargent
Katie Sargent is our Integrated Marketing Manager. Katie’s interest in the A+D industry began with her first internship at IA Interior Architects. Since then she went on to have experience with Jones Lang LaSalle, Kimball Office and dealerships in the DC area. She received her degree in Business Management from Virginia Tech. She is located in NYC.

Join us on Tuesday, May 24 at the Knoll showroom in Houston for our next Work Design TALK! Top workplace experts will address how to help your workforce (or yourself!) grow accustomed to more choice and identify the best settings for particular tasks, why choice can increase employee well-being and satisfaction, and what the coworking model can teach us about the benefits of choosing work environments that suit their needs.

Meet the panelists

Heather Van Ravenswaay, RID Associate Principal, PDR

hVanRavenswaayHeather has been an interior designer with PDR since 2004. She is passionate about leading organizations through the strategic design process. She defines success as enabling her clients’ largest asset, their people, to be more productive by working more efficiently and effectively. Heather is an expert in engaging with clients through conceptual brainstorming, design development, programming, and construction documents. Her sharp eye for in interior and graphic design has allowed her to create spaces that are tailored to a client’s specific business challenges. She understands the importance of collaborating with clients and striving to ensure their vision is realized.

Mike Fransen, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Parkway Properties

Mike PhotoMike joined Parkway in 2006 and is currently responsible for their Houston and Austin operations, which includes an over 4 million square foot office portfolio. In this capacity, he oversees all day-to-day operations for the region including property management, construction management, leasing, and budgeting. Additionally, Mike serves as the designated broker for Parkway in Texas and is responsible for the company’s leasing efforts in the market. Prior to Parkway, Mike spent five years serving in the US Army where he worked in finance with assignments in Kosovo and with the Defense Intelligence Agency. He received an MBA from Yale University’s School of Management, and a BA in systems engineering from West Point. Away from the office, Mike enjoys anything active and outdoors and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Gaurav Khandelwal, Founder/CEO, ChaiOne

8883311781_66dfcd14b2_o (1)Gaurav’s strong desire to help clients accelerate business has driven him to challenge the status quo in enterprise web and mobile applications. A visionary in mobile strategy and technology innovation, Khandelwal has focused ChaiOne to create engaging products internally and for clients. Khandelwal received the 40 under 40 Award in 2009, and has led ChaiOne to top 20 finishes from 2010-2015 in the annual Houston Business Journal Fast Tech 50. Khandelwal also operates a Houston coworking space called START. START is Houston’s leading tech coworking space for web and mobile startups.

Kathleen Kelley, Organizational Development Consultant

KKelley HeadshotKathleen has over 25 years of human resources and organizational development experience, working  with midsize to large corporations such as Chevron, ION Geophysical, Garden  Ridge, Reliant  Energy,  Enron and Computer SciencesCorp. As a member of the executive team, she worked closely with top executives to make strategic improvements and align the HR programs with the business objectives. Kathleen is currently a HR/OD consultant, specializing in transforming HR functions, establishing organizational effectiveness, and maximizing employee performance. Along with her SPHR certification,  Kathleen has a master’s degree in human resource management  from the University of Houston Clear Lake where she has also served as an adjunct professor.
