Novus has re-examined how to more efficiently position and adjust monitors to improve today’s work environment. As workspaces are becoming smaller, space is at a premium. This unique dual monitor support offers a space-saving, highly adjustable solution to meet the needs of today’s diverse workspaces. We investigated this innovative new product with the Novus team.
How will the product impact workplace design?

With full range of motion, this monitor arm can be adjusted for a personalized, ergonomic fit to reduce neck and eye strain. Monitors can be tilted, turned and rotated, accommodating the ever-changing needs of business professionals. As dual monitors have become the norm in offices today, there’s nothing more frustrating than trying to align two monitors evenly.
This gas-spring monitor arm offers smooth movement with a full range of adjustments for height, distance, and monitor angle so both monitors are perfectly positioned for the user’s personal preference. This is especially important with sit-stand desks where the monitors may need to be adjusted frequently.
Can you tell a story or give an example of how this product can be used in a project?
Professional spaces usually include different types of work areas that may require a different style of monitor arm. For example, at sit-stand desks monitor height and angle needs to be re-adjusted when the desk changes position. Cubicles have limited space with walls that can interfere with monitor arm movement.
The space-saving design of this dual monitor arm make it a perfect choice any style of workstation. The base has a small footprint and can be mounted anywhere with the option of a clamp, grommet, or drilling screw. To contend with walls, the arms are designed to adjust without “elbows” so monitors can be mounted flush.

What was the inspiration for this design of this product?
We set out to create a quality monitor arm that will suit any professional space. It needed to be easy to adjust for ergonomic viewing, durable for long-lasting performance, stylish, easy to install, and be price competitive.
To accomplish this, we use long-lasting, German engineered gas spring technology to provide smooth, even movement so you can easily find your personal, most comfortable viewing position. Materials like diecast aluminum and powder coated quality metal ensure long-lasting performance. We pared down the number of components so set-up is quick and frustration-free – a huge benefit when installing multiple units.
What innovations in use of materials or fabrication are utilized in the manufacture of this product?
Novus developed this monitor arm solution in Germany to meet the highest quality standards for function, durability, and longevity.
We’ve used quality materials to develop a monitor arm that is strong yet surprisingly lightweight.
Diecast aluminum provides the arm strength to hold two flat screen monitors each weighing up to 15.5 lbs. with no fear of sagging. The sturdy metal base supports both arms securely while allowing for rotation. And no more fumbling with cable clips – the plastic cable guide hides wires and cable almost completely and easily snaps into place.

A year from now what would be the most exciting thing you could think of that would find out about how the product has been accepted, specified and installed in projects?
In today’s stressful workplaces, professionals are expected to efficiently perform numerous tasks throughout the day. This is difficult when your work area is cluttered with multiple monitors, cables, and scattered paperwork. Neck and eye strain are distracting and tiring making it more difficult to be productive.
