    Description

With Goldi, Division Twelve and designer Giancarlo Stefani sought to create an elevated, unique version of the plywood chair. Inspired by the classic Goldilocks fairy tale, the solution became clear: one chair, three different ways. Much like the three bears, each style has its own standout personality, allowing for Goldi to possess a versatility that can be dressed up or down.

The first style, Chunky, was designed to replicate the heavy, sturdier feeling of an all-wood chair. The second style, Thin, features a sleek, slim steel frame that was designed to accommodate high-density stacking. The third style is Classic, because a classic plywood-style chair never goes out of fashion. When paired with Division Twelve’s bright, bold color palette, this seating solution will be anything but boring.

Each style features a curved backrest that gently provides back support and lasting comfort. Goldi’s seat is available in white oak, stained white oak, polypropylene plastic, or upholstered styles that are endlessly customizable.

    Sustainability Statement

Division Twelve uses Earth-approved materials that last a lifetime. Goldi’s steel frames are fully recyclable, and Division Twelve uses an eco-friendly powder coating process that limits VOC emissions in the products’ metal frames. Plus, Division Twelve is a zero-waste to landfill facility. All Division Twelve products are certified carbon neutral by a third party.

Goldi is BIFMA Level® 2 certified and Indoor Advantage™ Gold certified.

Division Twelve’s goal is Closed-Loop Manufacturing, and this extends to the products’ end of useful life. Through the Design for Environment (DFE) program, Division Twelve ensures that products are designed with high quality, long-lasting materials. Division Twelve also aims to design them to be easily disassembled, and that the materials are recyclable across all municipalities.
