Artystry designed Cybrosys’ new hybrid workspace to feature bold colors, natural light, and plenty of greenery.

Project Overview:

  • Design Firm: Artystry
  • Client: Cybrosys
  • Completion Date: August 2022
  • Location: Calicut, Kerala, India
  • Size: 10,000 sqft

Artystry designed Cybrosys’ downtown Kerala, India office to support their rapid growth and changing needs. The office was renovated from top to bottom to create a hybrid working environment that offers more opportunities for interaction and variation while still truly feeling like home for Cybrosys. The office features bright colors and plants to create a vibe that is cosy and comfortable, yet simultaneously bold and intriguing. Ultimately, the design goal was to create simplicity with a balance of color and nature.

The Cybrosys office builds on the unique, while adding new elements and functionality, to create a living and breathing environment. Artystry designers went all out to create a natural atmosphere that blurs the lines between indoors and outdoor spaces by maximizing the flow of natural light and utilizing large-scale indoor plants. In addition to garden pods, there are a variety of working pods, a café area, gaming area, phone booths and team rooms throughout the office.

Community plays a big role at Cybrosys so Artystry designed the office to help foster this. When employees enjoy spending time at the office, it encourages teamwork and builds a shared sense of belonging.

Project Planning

Since the space serves as a second home for over 200 employees, the Artystry design team was planned carefully to ensure everyone felt included in the design process. The process included both the c-suite and the heads of each department. Their input helped the design team to better understand what they needed out of a workspace and ultimately led Artystry to design a vibrant and energetic space. Artystry believes the best designs are created when user needs are balanced with aesthetics.

Project Details

Artystry designed accordingly to make every space unique and accommodate different activities. The colors, furniture, artwork, plants all work together to define the function of each nook and corner of the space. Even though it was planned as an open space, the design team tactically used the furniture and flooring to define different spaces and passages.

The most interesting part of this project is the cafeteria. Artystry designed this space differently from a typical office pantry. It’s a space where everyone in the office has room to gather, socialize, laugh and share bright ideas with each other. It includes different kinds of seating choices including spots where you can grab a coffee with a colleague or catch up on some work. Artystry believes that the workplace’s ambience affects a company’s growth and that the more we give, the more we get.

Overall Project Results

A great challenge for Artystry on this project was time management. From the beginning they had to be very careful with what they were working on as there was no time for rethinking.

Artystry used many different colors in this project. This created a challenge because the design team had to be very selective of any new colors being used in the color palette as they had to be balanced throughout the space. But this challenge paid off as the users really enjoy the space.

Project Summary

Artystry always loves to work as a team. This project is a result of month-long, day and night effort of team work. Artystery and their supporting partners such as carpenters, painters, MEP consultants, material suppliers and artists helped them to bring the entire project to life.
