Grab a soft blanket and a warm drink as we share the coziest items that caught our attention.
With the industry charged with creating inviting, comfortable spaces, this year’s showrooms (in and outside of theMart) brought the coziness factor to new ‘I want that in my home’ levels. Gone were the pastels of 2019 and 2020 and in were the unfinished wood tones and bright colors found in nature. Think bright floral colors, sunset hues, and forest floor gradients – even terracotta! Here is a list of what stood out to our specifier friends.
Ethnicraft – Oak Stairs
Yep, these are lockers sold in sets of two! An angular composition designed by Alain van Havre, gives it strong design appeal.
SixInch – Tubular
Sixinch’s new Tubular Chair is a super comfy-cozy lounge piece that provides an extra wide seat, mixed density foam cushions, and tube legs that come in a variety of colors. It’s like resting on a pillow.
Nucraft Ascari Table
Luxurious wood options combined with fine craftsmanship and embedded technology, create a conference table that is as beautiful as it is powerful. Let’s meet here!
Fabric from Designtex
In addition to the fun prints from Charley Harper, it was Supreen’s Nook in Habitat upholstery that caught our attention (and it ships carbon neutral).
Karman Task Chair – Steelcase
Karman is a very confutable chair and comes in a lot of different colors for the seat, base and arms. It also is a great price point.
Knoll Showroom
Soft Touch, Matte Finishes and Warm Comfortable Tones in the Knoll Showroom.
Davis – Cova Designed by jens+laub
Featuring large down cushions covering the interior of the chair, this lounge’s primary objective is combining supreme comfort with a visually appealing design. Cova’s enveloping nature provides a welcoming respite within any commercial or residential interior. There was a line to sit in this chair!
Phlox by Okamura
Furniture that feels like it’s giving you a little hug! Phlox, named after the Night Phlox flower, is inspired by a close-up view into our natural world, welcoming its
gentle influence and naturally curved arcs.
Shaw – Bottle Floor
Shaw has long been an innovator in the floor market, and now they’ve released Bottle Flor, a soft flooring tile product made from PET bottles that can be 100$ recycled back into itself. Not only is the sustainability story strong, but the product is beautiful and textured, providing an option for a heathered look on the floor.
Don’t just take our word for it – Erika Woelfel, Vice President of Color & Creative Services at Behr Paint Company unveiled their 2022 Color of the Year + Trends Palette.
Behr Bonus!
At NeoCon, Behr debuted their next-generation Color System including first-of-its kind sample reordering, to help designers streamline color selection process and keep materials libraries up to date. Interested? Designers can pre-order the System at behr.com/ordercolortools.
